About Me

I have always loved creating art for as long as I can remember. I often took inspiration from people around me when I was a small child, and those people happened to be my dad and older brother. When I turned eleven, the list of artists who inspired me expanded once I got social media. I remember coming across a certain artist and seeing her photorealistic work. I thought to myself, "I can totally do that." After a lot of effort, I was quickly humbled. I realized I was not as skilled as I originally thought, and this realization marked the moment I became serious about pursuing art. I went from drawing with a #2 pencil on notebook paper to drawing with graphite pencils on artists' paper. I spent about seven years learning to draw realism by watching YouTube videos and by finding new drawing techniques on social media.

I did not take any art classes in middle school or high school. In fact, I experienced my first legitimate art class at college. My knowledge in drawing gradually increased, as did my range in using different mediums. I had attempted to paint with oils once, and I initially found it quite difficult. However, after taking an oil painting class in 2023, I fell in love with that medium. I have spent the past eleven years of my life practicing art, yet there will always be more to learn.
